AHHHH...Heartstrings

So we went to Memphis this weekend to meet up with my parents so Mitch & I, Katie & Adam Bertrand could go to the UT/Ole Miss game. We had a ball and it was a beautiful day on Saturday to be outside. We left Memphis yesterday morning to come home and went by one of our favorite donut shops in Memphis to get some goodies. Chapman loves donuts but doesn't get them that often. Anyway, Mitch got him a glazed donut and gave it to him with some Chocolate Milk. (Another treat, he doesn't get Chap-a-mil ((his way of saying it)) very often either). So here we are driving down the road and out of nowhere Chapman says, "Shank Mom, Shank Dadda." This means "Thank you Mom, Thank you Dadda." I almost choked on my food as did Mitch. We have been encouraging the "Please and Thank you" for sometime now but he has never said this voluntarily. Mitch said, "Oh my gosh, I think that's the sweetest thing I've ever heard." I agreed. As it stands now, Chapman may be getting more donuts if we get "Shanked" for giving them to him. : ) But seriously, don't our kiddos just know how to pull the heartstrings???
