We got snow last night and so this morning Mitch took Chapman out to play. You'll notice that there isn't much at all but they had fun making snow balls and throwing them at the fence. Chapman also wore his rain boots for the first time today that he has refused to wear in the past. After splashing in puddles at the grocery store parking lot earlier this morning, I am pretty sure they are his new fav! : )

AHHHH...Heartstrings
So we went to Memphis this weekend to meet up with my parents so Mitch & I, Katie & Adam Bertrand could go to the UT/Ole Miss game. We had a ball and it was a beautiful day on Saturday to be outside. We left Memphis yesterday morning to come home and went by one of our favorite donut shops in Memphis to get some goodies. Chapman loves donuts but doesn't get them that often. Anyway, Mitch got him a glazed donut and gave it to him with some Chocolate Milk. (Another treat, he doesn't get Chap-a-mil ((his way of saying it)) very often either). So here we are driving down the road and out of nowhere Chapman says, "Shank Mom, Shank Dadda." This means "Thank you Mom, Thank you Dadda." I almost choked on my food as did Mitch. We have been encouraging the "Please and Thank you" for sometime now but he has never said this voluntarily. Mitch said, "Oh my gosh, I think that's the sweetest thing I've ever heard." I agreed. As it stands now, Chapman may be getting more donuts if we get "Shanked" for giving them to him. : ) But seriously, don't our kiddos just know how to pull the heartstrings???

Vacation to the Smoky's
Mitch was on vacation the last week of September and we went to the Smoky Mountains for a few days and then on to Knoxville for the UT-Auburn game. We met up with some of our best friends from Memphis to hang out and go to the game. We had a blast!
Mitch took Chapman to look around at Buckberry Lodge. They played in the Tee-pee.
They were practicing what bear sound they would make if they saw a bear. Chapman is really getting in to it! (So is Mitch!! : ) )
Our sweet friends from Memphis (Jessica & Corey Cudzilo, Rebecca & Scout Robinson, Tori & Jon Hayes) tailgating before the UT Game.

Ogles Family Update
Hey Everyone! We're still alive and kicking just a little slow on updating the blog. We have been really busy lately and lots has been going on! Here's the scoop:
*We are having a GIRL for those of you that don't already know!!! She is going to be named Caroline Mae. We just love the name Caroline and recently found out it is a family name on Mitch's side and Mae is my grandmother's middle name. We are really excited and I've already been indulging in some awesome baby girl clothes. I bought some dresses & skirts at the outlet mall while at the beach a few weeks ago and a few were halter dresses. Mitch immediately said, "My daughter Will Not be wearing those!" I said how about just when she's 6-9 months old?!? I mean, commmmme on, she going to be totally girly and she has to have super cute dresses, bows, & socks to match! Mitch has a few things to learn (as I did when Chapman was born!) ! wink, wink
Chapman is getting excited (we think) about having a baby sister and whenever we tell him to say, "Caroline" he says, "Line, Line." So, if he calls her Line it will be fine!
*Speaking of Chapman he is talking so much and cracking us up! We went across the Res today and he said, "Shimmin, shimmin." He loves the pool and swimming but it was cute when he said that. He also says a word that sounds like "sh*t" when he drops something that he is holding or gets mad. We do not say cuss words in our house and while I'm convinced he's not saying "that" word, we can't tell what he is trying to say. I'm sure the lovely ladies at church think he's just got the best parents on Earth when they hear him say that. I told Mitch that I am going to have to tell them that he is surely not saying sh*t because we don't say that and I'm sure they'll be thinking, "Yeah, right....we've heard that before!!"
*We went to Cape Girardeau this weekend for our 10 year high school reunion. We had an absolute blast seeing everyone and catching up. I seriously don't feel old enough to be having a 10 year reunion but isn't that life? Everything just sneaks up on you! We stayed out way past my bedtime for 2 nights in a row and I literally have not caught up on my sleep yet. I am lots more tired now being prego but shew, I didn't know it was this bad. Again, it was so much fun and I hope we don't go another 10 years before seeing each other!
*Chapman started Mother's Morning Out on Monday at our church and I am loving it! He goes on Monday's & Wednesday's for 3 hours. He knows most of the kids in his class because of going to church so that is fun for him. (And they have balls in his room so he is set!) I have only had 1 offical day of it so far but fair warning ... if you see me flying around town trying to run as many errands as possible during that time, beware!!! I am a mad woman! I can run some serious errands without kids!
Chow everyone.....it's my bedtime!!!! : )

The 4th of July
We had such a fun 4th of July weekend. Mitch was off of work on Friday so we went back to Cape Girardeau on Thursday night and had a wonderful weekend! We went swimming, bbqed with the family, watched fireworks, went to St. Louis to visit my mom's family....and then came home to Jackson on Tuesday afternoon. It was a busy few days but we had a ball. Here are some pictures of Chapman enjoying the vacation!
Uncle Billy is so fun to play with!! Here is Chapman getting launched in the air. The minute he hit the water he would say, "Tree, Tree." For "Three, Three." We were counting, "One, Two, Three" before Billy would throw him up and he basically wanted to skip one & two!
When you put Chapman on his back in the water he sticks up one of his legs. Maybe for balance? I don't know why but we were laughing so hard because he looks like a Synchronized Swimmer in these pictures! Maybe a future calling.........????? (don't tell Mitch I said that!)
Chapman's Great Uncle Jeff is teaching him the proper techniques for throwing the frisbee.
Such a little Cutie Pie!!!!
On Sunday we went to St. Louis to visit my grandparents, aunts, uncles & cousins. Here is a group shot of some of them with Chapman.
My Grandma & Grandpa bought Chapman a vintage Radio Flyer car from a Flea Market. My grandpa buffed it really well and made it nice and new for Chapman. He had a blast riding around on it!

Swimming on the Reservoir!!!
One of the couple's in our Small Group at church invited us out on their boat to tool around the Reservoir on Saturday afternoon. It was Chapman's first boat ride. We showed him his life jacket that morning and he got the biggest smile on his face. He knows when he wears that he gets to go swimming so he was excited! We had a blast and it was a beautiful day to be on the water. Thanks Westbrooks! Y'all are the best!
Mitch is with Chapman and Ashleigh & Katherine Westbrook.

Sunday Funday
We had a blast hanging out yesterday! We went swimming yesterday afternoon at our friend's pool. It was a nice way to cool off from the hot Mississippi summer! Chapman had a ball!
All he wanted to do was jump in to daddy from the side! He has *no* fear!
After swimming, we went home and all took a nap. We had to get rested up for our Small Group's Crawfish Boil last night! It was such a fun day!

Chapman Is.......
Chapman is.......Going to be a big brother!!!! We are so excited! We just found out that we are expecting baby #2 in late December/early January. I am feeling great but am very tired! I was very tired during my first pregnancy and even though I was working then, I think I'm more tired now. Maybe it's because I'm chasing around my 18 month old. I am getting to rest during the day when he takes his naps so that helps. Chapman and the new baby will be 25 or so months apart. I am hoping for a girl and Mitch is wanting another boy. Really, we don't care either way. Chapman could use someone to play ball with though! I am going to my first doctor's appointment next week so we will keep everyone updated on how things are going. Please keep us in your prayers as we await the arrival of baby #2!!

Popsicle Time!!
We gave Chapman a popsicle last night for the first time. He didn't understand what to do at first. He kept trying to bite off really big pieces. When he bit them off, he immediately spit them out and made a face like, "That was too cold for me!" Once he got the hang of it he loved it!
At first we had him sit at his table to eat it because he was making a huge mess with it dripping all over.
Then Mitch decided to put him behind the gate in the kitchen because he kept getting up and walking around the house. Which meant that popsicle juice was dripping everywhere!
This is him examining the gate.
This is him examining the gate.
And here is his enjoying his first popsicle in the "penalty box" as Mitch called it! : )

Easter Fun!
We had such a fun Easter Break! Prior to Easter, Chapman attended a few Easter egg hunts. He had so much fun finding eggs. I hid them for him & Ally I think 3 different times one day. They had such a good time! For Easter, we went to Murray, KY to watch my dad's baseball games and then Mitch met us in Memphis on Saturday night. We spent the night in Memphis with my parents and on Sunday we went to The Peabody Hotel to show Chapman the ducks (which he loved!) and walked around downtown. We had such a good Easter!
On another note, we are so thankful to have Easter to celebrate! Praise the Lord for our Risen Savior! For some reason around Easter, I always have these lyrics in my head & heart, "I'll never know how much it cost, to see my sin upon that cross....." How true those words are. Thank you Lord for giving your Son for Me!!!
